Finally, something to enjoy on Showtime’s Weeds. It’s been a long time since the show did little more than make me feel uncomfortable watching my television. While everything isn’t back to normal, the premiere of the dark comedy did little to disappoint. A major theme that I picked up in the episode was relationships. Between […]
Weeds is back. And I don’t mean, like, returning to Showtime’s lineup (although season 5 premieres this Monday night, at 10PM), I mean, it’s BACK. As in, while season 4 was kinda Mexico crazy, season 5 gets right back into season 3’s saddle and gets us set for an awesome ride! Not ready for season […]
Last year, I raced — absolutely raced — through the first three seasons of Weeds on DVD. It was one of those shows I couldn’t get enough of. Even though drugs are serious business, there was something so funny about suburban mom Nancy Botwin turning to the drug trade to make ends meet. Let’s face […]
(Season 2, Episodes 4-6) This batch of episodes really wasn’t great for me. I really enjoy the comic relief that Andy brings to the Botwin household, but the whole massage parlor storyline really rubbed me the wrong way (HA!). Plus, the Silas/Megan storyline went to a weird place, and I pretty much lost all understanding […]
(Season 6, Episode 8 – “Last Word” – Season/Series Finale) Well, The L Word is all over, and I think we’ve all learned a valuable lesson: Jenny Schecter was one of the craziest bitches in television history. The horrifying part is that everyone has dated (or knows someone that has dated) a Jenny-type. Think of […]
I understand that it’s well-written and well-acted. It has Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing a dead dude (who isn’t having gh0st sex with his very alive ex-fiancee!) and Mary-Louise Parker. What more can you ask for? Well, yes. All of that sounds good on paper, but I have one major problem with the show: I find potheads really annoying.
