As often happens with season finales, the ‘Parenthood’ finale seemed to be trying too hard to tie up all the loose ends but didn’t live up to the strength of its last few episodes.
This week’s episode of ‘Parenthood’ had some great moments, but Adam accidentally getting high and crashing Julia’s ladies-only party is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Each week I review a show that’s new to me. Good idea, or punishment (mine or yours)? You be the judge. But either way, if I had to watch it, the least you can do is read what I have to say….
Crosby spent most of this episode mourning the potential sale of his houseboat, while Adam went postal in a grocery store and liked the way losing it felt.
Braverman parents grappled with the loneliness of being at home with a child all day and having to share a bed with your kid, while Lauren Graham’s intern character allowed Billy Baldwin’s creepy boss man character to kiss her.
The finale of ‘Lost’ got me thinking about ‘Six Feet Under’ and one of the best finales in the history of television. It wasn’t all about the last episode, though — ‘Six Feet Under’ was brilliant from start to finish.
Not only was the latest episode of ‘Parenthood’ quite good, it also included a gloriously geeky scene with Peter Krause “dancing” to Run DMC’s “It’s Tricky.” Oh yes it did.
