While new series may have had a rough go of it this past season, I for one enjoyed the recently concluded year of television. Here’s what my TV Wednesdays looked like during the 2010-2011 season.
Last year’s television season introduced me to some of my current favorite shows. So two months in, how does the current crop of new series stand up? What’s this year’s ‘The Good Wife’?
‘Caprica’ returned last week, and the results leave us questioning how long the show can remain a part of the new Syfy. Over on the networks, there are still a few new shows (‘The Event’, ‘The Defenders’, ‘Detroit 187′) looking to find their levels.
‘Outlaw’ continues to defy the odds by staying on the air while others fall. Will this extra life eventually result in more viewers? The jury is still out, but I’m not holding my breath.
Despite its somewhat unrealistic premise, ‘Outlaw’ has tackled some interesting political questions, something rare for a lawyer show. However, I’m not sure it’ll be around next week to see what Garza tackles next.
At some point, ‘Outlaw’ and, well, the outlaw himself aren’t going to be able throw the audience and his team for a loop just for the sake of it. Will ‘Outlaw’ settle down and keep its shingle hung?
After a full summer of ho-hum, last week brought us five days of full-tilt-boogie network programming. The early results for the new season say that things look very good over at CBS. The other networks were very hit and miss.
