I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I like where ‘Human Target’ is going and I hope they get a chance to get there in a second season.
The Academy Awards was the big winner for the week, managing to top the ‘Idol’ juggernaut. ‘Idol’ was still huge for FOX, while CBS had great showings from ‘2 ½ Men’, ‘Big Bang’, and ‘NCIS’. ‘SVU”s return to 10 PM was a bright spot for NBC.
When ‘Human Target’ borrows from other fun shows and movies, it’s okay with me. Anything that gives Mark Valley an opportunity to smirk is great TV in my book.
It’s been a while since I’ve talked about some of the TV-related comics I’ve been flipping through lately, and since this week I grabbed a couple of new ones, I thought I’d take the time to mention them here.
NBC took over this week, with the 2010 Winter Olympics dominating all but one night of the week. That one loss came at the hands of ‘American Idol,’ which remains a ratings juggernaut. Elsewhere, repeats of ‘The Mentalist’ and ‘CSI’ swapped time slots at CBS. Is that a peek at the future of the CBS Thursday?
After the first two episodes of ‘Human Target,’ I wasn’t too sure I’d be tuning in each week. Thanks to the Olympics, I’ve caught up on all of the episodes and changed my tune because this is the best role for Mark Valley since the great ‘Keen Eddie.’
If anything was going to topple M.A.S.H. from the top spot of being the most watched program ever, it was bound to be a sporting event.
