It was a grisly week of numbers, with show after show posting losses. There were series lows, and season lows. Bright spots included the ‘Grammy Awards’ and the premiere of ‘Suspect Behavior’. On cable, how is ‘Being Human’ stacking up against ‘Stargate Universe’?
Well now she’s gone and done it. Barb has thrown down the spiritual gauntlet and challenged Bill to a Priesthood Holder Off. May the one whose ‘calling’ is strong win. (My money’s on Barb.)
The Super Bowl was HUGE for FOX, but it looks like giving ‘Glee’ the coveted Sunday night slot was not the best idea. Over on cable, Justified returns, and FX execs can sleep a little easier.
Bill, Barb and Margene forced the Utah state senate to swear Bill into office, even though it means he’s violating that oath by virtue of being a polygamist.
An exciting week found personal records being set on cable (‘Pawn Stars’) and broadcast (‘NCIS’). In not so happy news, the return of full schedules didn’t do any favors for NBC’s Thursday comedies, or FOX’s ‘Fringe’.
Margene blew everyone away with a Christmas surprise while Bill wanted to arm all his wives with guns and Lois went looking for Santa at a fast food restaurant order window. Just your average ‘Big Love’ episode.
It was a bit of a slow week with President Obama again bringing mayhem to your regularly scheduled programming. The highlight in all of it was the NFL once again flexing its considerable ratings muscles. Over on cable, week two was not kind to MTV’s ‘Skins’.
