If there’s one thing I could possibly complain about on ‘Men of a Certain Age’, it’s how infrequent Joe, Terry, and Owen are actually on screen together. They’re such a strong threesome that it’s worth making the time for them to gab.
As usual, the arrival of the holidays has the network schedules grinding to a halt. That leads to strange things like CBS only having three new hours, and ABC only having two. Or, NBC previewing one of their new shows and having nobody watch it.
His line about Humpty Dumpty not breaking was funny … you would think of all things it would have cracked into a million pieces. But Terry stealing the statue was even better. I hope it pops up again!
With ‘The Sing Off’ hitting new highs, and ‘The Biggest Loser’ rebounding from what has been a tough fall, NBC took full advantage of the weakened pre-holiday schedule. On cable, ‘Burn Notice’ went out on a high note.
I know at some point Terry’s going to explode all over the salesmen on the lot and become the best of the group, but I still want him to get back to acting. I wonder how (and if) that’s being angled into the story.
‘Eureka’ and ‘Warehouse 13′ got in on the holiday episode game last week. How would their numbers compare to what ‘Stargate Universe’ has been able to manage since moving to Tuesday? A similar thing was happening on the networks, as ‘The Sing Off’ stepped in for ‘Chuck’ and ‘The Event’.
