So. I’m OK with the winner of this season’s ‘Hell’s Kitchen.’ If I had my druthers, it would have been “the other guy.” See? No spoilers here … unless you read on. Dare ya!
And with that, the summer TV season is done! Bring on the new fall season. We got our first taste of fall last week as 10 shows had their premieres across CW, NBC, and CBS. There is still a lot to be decided, but fall of 2011 is already off to an interesting start.
Gordon Ramsay is now playing with me like a puppet on a string. And I’m not happy about it. In fact, I’m rather angry with him for a couple of reasons. Come along to ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ class! It’s Fall, and school is back in session …
The NFL kicked off the regular season with a huge result in prime-time, bringing big numbers back to the networks. Over on cable, ‘Jersey Shore’ continued to dominate, but ‘Sons of Anarchy’ returned with a very good number.
We saw some familiar faces return to ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ this week, which was nice. We didn’t see the person I want gone … gone. Which was not nice. We’re floating in kitchen limbo right now, kind of just hovering over the burners. As Willie Wonka would say, “The suspense is killing me. I hope it lasts!”
With the broadcast networks quiet as they gear up for the new fall season, the big story was the record setting performance of the ‘VMAs’ on cable. Finally, something that was able to topple ‘Jersey Shore’ in the ratings.
