The big surprise on the networks came from the numbers for ABC’s Jaycee Dugard special, which easily outscored the MLB All-Star Game. Over on cable, another huge helping of summer premieres, including ‘Curb’, ‘Alphas’, ‘Warehouse 13′, ‘Eureka’, and ‘The Closer’.
It looks as if the eighth season of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ is going to follow guys being divorced, getting divorced, or wishing they were divorced.

Season six of ‘Curb’ draws to a close, as does my virgin diary of the series. At the end of the day I must say that I’m glad I gave it a chance … he may be too Larry at times, but all-in-all Larry David is a really funny guy.
Having seen season seven, Cheryl leaving Larry didn’t come as a surprise. And it’s not quite as satisfying knowing what happens between them next season … but I still loved Cheryl’s awakening!
You’re Ted Danson … why in the world do you want to be buried next to Larry David? And why would either of them want to be buried next to Larry’s agent? There should at least be a private NBC sitcom section in the cemetery.
Ice cream shops are one thing, but can you really stand up at the register in a boutique and sample various different perfumes? Better you should go to a department store and get blinded by one of those crazy fragrance slingers!
