In honor of this week’s season finale of The Big Bang Theory, we figured dedicating this week’s poll to the show would be a timely idea. While the fifth season has seen the (full time) addition of Amy Farrah-Fowler and Bernadette Rostenkowski to the group, the core of the show has always been Penny and the boys.
Before you vote on your favorite, I surveyed the rest of Team CliqueClack as to their thoughts:
Ivey:
To me? It’s Raj. While Sheldon is going to be the popular choice, I’ve always been a big fan of the more underrated guy on the show. There’s just something about the guy that always makes me laugh.
Bob:
Walowitz! Being an engineer by day and blogger by night, I tend to relate to the one engineer in the group. I’m still tickled every time the rest of the guys make fun of him for only having a Masters Degree and not a Doctorate. Aside from that, he gets some of the funniest lines, particularly earlier in the show when he was so unapologetically trying to be a ladies’ man.
Kim:
Trying to decide which of the nerds I like best is like trying to decide which member of The Avengers is the most badass. I love all four of them … Howard with his adorable Beatles haircut, Raj’s sweetness, Sheldon’s bossiness … but I guess I will say Leonard because I’ve been a fan of Johnny Galecki since his Roseanne days. Penny was stupid forever breaking up with him and for rejecting his awkward marriage proposal. I heart Leonard. The episode in which he brought back a snowflake from the North Pole for Penny sealed the deal for me. Plus Dr. Leonard Hofstadter is an awesome-sounding name.
An:
I’m on the Leonard bandwagon as well. But, primarily because Galecki represents the guy I’d like to date, geeky, yet nice. Howard’s too creepy, Raj is too mute, and Sheldon is, well, Sheldon. Let’s be honest, a cute guy with a PhD who swoons when a girl looks at him is a rarity post-age 30. In the BBT world, Leonard’s a sweet guy. In reality, he’d probably rock those baby browns to get some major geek girl action.
Michael:
[I have] watched 5 1/2 minutes of a single episode. Even then? Don’t remember it in the least. Summary: I will be of no assistance whatsoever.
Ivey:
How is this anything new?

Well, now you know Michael and I fight like cats and dogs, but the bigger question is: Who is your favorite Big Bang Theory nerd?
I adore Leonard. Heck, if he were a real life character I’d date him if he didn’t already have his sweet Penny. He’s just a sweet, good natured guy. Love that!
Second fave is Raj…such a sweetie!
Howard has changed and I like the change…but for some reason the older Howard is where I go with his character and I get wierded out.
And Sheldon, he’s a condecending jerk…as Kaley has said…”[I’d] kill him.” I still love the character though, and he’s changing….I love his changes…but he’s still a jerk who doesn’t know that he’s a jerk.
I like all of the nerds but picked Sheldon because I too have a spot on the couch that is my spot.
I think it is definitely Sheldon because he is southern no matter how hard he tries to fight it.He is also as everyone nows O.C.D. kinda like me,and he has the same relationship with his mother as I do.
Lenard keeps it real ~ We can all way depend on Lenard for any needed explanation or narration; I really appreciate that. I vote LENARD.
TBBT was the best new comedy show on TV(.)That is; The 4 Nerds made a good combination plate for a few years. Now that they made it to their 100th episode and added the girlfriends – I want MORE! The girls; deserve their own spin-offs; The newly married Walowitzes and Mayim Bialik! -Or- when the show goes onto a 6th season, I hope we get to see even more of Amy & Bernadette.
And about the Nerdses Mothers… Dont get me started! The Moms have add Even MORE Great Fun to the Shows. Too bad you dont have episodes for Mothers Day; -Or- Maybe a Feature Film in the future ~
I love them all, but Sheldon is just so intense and amazing. Jim really helped to create an amazing character in Dr. Cooper. But each is cute and interesting in their own way. I agree, Raj is a sweetie. He is overlooked sometimes. The chemistry of this cast is wonderful. I just wish they would get rid of Amy. I don’t like the way they are compromising Sheldon’s character.
DR SHELDON COOPER! Aside from the fact that his slowly progressing feelings for Amy are blossoming each day (which is super adorable), I just love to see a fellow Houstonian on TV! Southerner on TV and real life! Plus…i just love when he sings soft kitty :)
I love Kripke. I have no logical reasoning for it, I just enjoy a good joke with a lisp.
