So. We saw the exits of Lisa and Teresa tonight on The Celebrity Apprentice. I can’t say I was surprised that The Big T ousted two women. This based on the facts that I don’t think The Donald is too fond of women anyway, and on the history of this season’s women’s team. It wouldn’t have been right not to boot a couple of them at this point. After all, they’ve lost tasks faster than my cat can run around the apartment when she’s “on the nip.” (And that’s pretty fast, believe me.) The women bickered and cried and clawed and scratched at themselves so much? They became a detriment to any of them winning this show.
Here’s why Teresa and Lisa are gone …
Teresa proved on the Chi Hair Touch Challenge that she herself is as dumb as a box of hair. How appropriate! She let Aubrey decide and plan everything. She lost the negotiation that really was no negotiation to Lisa. (Very evil doings on Lisa’s part, but I was giggling right along with Clay.) I mean, seriously. The chick has no balls. And you need those, if you’re going to be the Celebrity Apprentice. Yes, even if you’re a woman. Maybe especially then.
Teresa didn’t take over as project manager and explain to Eric (the hateful evil hunter of defenseless animals) what the task was all about when he visited. She let Aubrey talk. She called the executive by the wrong name. She not only didn’t delegate, she simply let Aubrey run roughshod over the entire thing. She couldn’t defend herself in the Boardroom worth crap. (“I mean … like … um … “) Also!
I’ve never seen a worse presentation to the executives on this show in all the years I’ve watched it. Did she even practice that thing? Geez. There’s being nervous, and then there’s being completely lacking in any public speaking skills and not being prepared.
Her leaving was a no brainer. Teresa’s simply lucked out to get this far. She’s been able to be all sweet and nice and fly under the radar, and let the crazies lynch themselves up until now.
Lisa … has just been a flipping mess throughout. And that was her undoing in the end. You and I have watched and discussed her behavior lo these many weeks. And I gotta say? I heard most of you cheering when The Trumpster unceremoniously let her trot.
To tell you the truth? I thought Lisa took it rather well, considering. She smiled and was gracious. I expected an epic meltdown, worthy of my seventh grade teacher who locked herself in the closet because she felt we all hated her. (That was one of the only fun days I had with the nuns!)
Anyway. Lisa is all of the things that John Rich and Marlee Matlin noticed on her interview. She’s smart. She’s shown us over the course of the show that she’s a great writer and is wickedly creative. (Although this week she lost me by eating sandwiches and letting Clay do most of the work.) But! By repeatedly breaking down in the boardroom and in front of the Trumps on various tasks, by screaming and swearing and crying?
She dug her own hole.
We were left tonight wondering who the third person to leave would be, based on the remaining contestant’s interviews with Arsenio, Clay and Aubrey.
I’ll tell you this. My man Clay isn’t going anywhere. And neither is Arsenio, whose played this game like a sneaky pro so far. He only pulls out his nasty side if he has to. I don’t trust the guy. So he’s obviously going to be a contender.
Aubrey is leaving. Why? Well, because Donald hates women. And also because I believe he’s kept tabs on what the viewers are saying in regards to being completely over Aubrey and that ego about five episodes ago.
I did this. I did that. I did everything. No one helped me. No one can. When I say my team? I mean me.
Yuck.
Even though The Trump holds exactly the same opinion of himself? He will surely reject it, coming from a youngster to represent him. Hear me on this one … he’ll stamp her out but good.
Donald sees her narcissism as directly challenging him in a competitive way.
Do you think he’ll stand for that?
Me neither. And? I’m behind Clay until the end of this ride. Who do you like?
I would love to see Clay and Arsenio in the finale..but…in the preview, it definitely looked like Trump looks to the right and fires Clay then turns to the left and says you two are in the finale. Now I know they probably did that on purpose and everyone probably played musical chairs so who knows.
What about Lisa being so cordial when she left that she gave the elevator man a big hug???
Research that promo. In the evenings events, Trump had on a pink tie. In the firing in the promo the tie is purple. They are trying to make you believe Clay was fired. :-)
I think everyone in the final four definitely deserved to be there. I didn’t want to see any of them tear at each other in a no-holds-barred elimination round, so I’m glad Trump went for the interview elimination option.
I wish Theresa could have admitted her faults during the boardroom. Considering Arsenio and Aubrey both planned the event, Arsenio took the pictures, and Arsenio wrote his own copy, Theresa continuously asking him what he did and then calling him a liar for her own self-protection didn’t endear her to me. Also, claiming that Lisa was evil and underhanded didn’t make sense. Lisa played hard ball; but, it’s the one time she didn’t curse, demean anyone or yell. So, if you didn’t get what you wanted, then yes, you lost.
I’m not a fan of Aubrey, but I could see Trump putting Aubrey and Clay in the final round. And, Aubrey impressed me in this episode, despite her blatantly obvious ploy in getting placed as a model.
