As season 14 of Dancing With the Stars rapidly approaches its finale, you might think it’s too early to start thinking about the fall’s 15th season, but the rumor machine had a little bit of an early kick start last week. How, you ask? Well, former DWTS contestant, and second place finisher in season 3, Mario Lopez let slip while appearing on Live With Kelly that the producers have asked him to return for the 15th season which will be an all-star season (technically, isn’t every season an “all-star” season with the word “stars” in the title?). Well, whatever they want to call it, season 15 is rumored to feature returning celebrities from the past 14 seasons.
But who should come back? There are certainly many variations they can do on the all-star theme: Bring back all of the winners — Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brooke Burke-Charvet (with Samantha Harris co-hosting?!), Shawn Johnson, Donny Osmond, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Hines Ward, and J.R. Martinez (let’s assume this season’s winner will be too exhausted to dance another season back-to-back … and 14 is an even number, which still puts them over the normal starting line-up by two). Of course, Mario Lopez would not be part of this group, so maybe they’ll do all the second place finishers — John O’Hurley, Jerry Rice, Mario Lopez, Joey Fatone, Mel B, Jason Taylor, Warren Sapp, Gilles Marini, Mya, Evan Lysacek, Kyle Massey, Kirstie Alley, and Rob Kardashian. Unfortunatley, that is a little heavy on returning men, so that won’t fly.
So who should come back? Who would be your dream teams? Let’s assume they pick one person from each season (which they probably won’t, but for our purposes that’s how it’ll work), maybe someone who left earlier than they should have. And we have to keep a balance of men and women as well. So (trying to think back to the early seasons is no small feat), I would assemble the following stars:
So, Tara, who do you think should return to the ballroom?
Tara: Well, Chuck this is like a wish come true! Imagine, I get to pick my very own lineup … *cue smarmy dreamlike music in the back ground*
OK, if I could do this My Way? I’d go for strictly for ratings, and set out from the get go and try to make this the biggest entertaining, cat fighting train wreck in the history of television. (Not much different from what the producers have in mind now, come to think of it.)
The women would include: Lisa Rinna, Vivica A.Fox, Mel B., Kirstie Alley, Ricki Lake, Margaret Cho and Shannen Doherty. (Simply because I’d love to see if any of these women have any hair extensions left at the end of the season, due to the brawls that would ensue. I’m actually smiling wickedly right now. Plus? You know they’d all get into an “unsaid but definitely obvious” contest to see who could lose the most weight. Again? Dee-licious.)
The men I would chose to return would include: George Hamilton, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rocco DiSpirito, Penn Jillette, Steve Guttenberg, Adam Carolla, and Ted McGinley. (Just to ensure the women would advance, and to “experience” that lineup. I mean c’mon!)
There’s my dream team, Chuck. You have to admit? It would be a rockin’ season of foibles and fables. (With glitter and sequins added, of course.)
And yes, I realize that I’m not appealing to the Younger Demographic. Screw ‘em. Most of the shows we see are geared their way. I say let them go and watch something else!
Chuck: Well, there you have our picks. (Although I don’t know why Tara didn’t toss Kate Gosselin into the catfight mix, and Buzz Aldrin in with her less than mobile gentlemen!) Now it’s your turn to cast your votes. Click on over to the next page to find our polls for each season, and pick the celebs you think would burn up the dance floor.
I would love to see Evan Lysacek return to the ballroom for another shot at the mirror ball trophy. However, Lysacek has announced that he plans to return to competition this season with a goal of earning a spot on the 2014 Olympic team. Therefore, it does not seem likely that Lysacek would be on DWTS anytime prior to the Spring of 2014.

I was wondering about the Olympics impact.
I was reading your list of winners and thinking..Brooke actually won her season? And Nicole Scherzinger won? where was I that season..don’t remember her at all!!!
Regarding Tara’s mens team, I think George Hamilton could go far on charm, so you have to trade him out for Master P, then the women would be a shoo-in.

Yeah, that’s how Brooke got the hosting gig after Samantha Harris left.
As for Master P, I don’t think he’s even allowed on the lot after his, umm, “performance” on the show!
Stacey Keibler, any one else is just plain superfluous :-)
Those 14 foot legs of hers deserve a show of their own, not to mention a zip code of their own! giggle, giggle, giggle.
Maybe not all stars, and may be not partners I would love Bruno and Carrie Ann dance !!! :-)
Evan Lysacheck/Anna
Monique Coleman/Louis
Mya/Dimitry
Erin Andrews/Maks(or Mel B)
Stacy Kiebler(but she won’t since she’s dating The BIG MAN now so then…
Melissa Rycroft/or Audrina with Tony
Jewell or Nancy Odell-couldn’t do the season due to injuries
Kyle Massey/Lacey
Gilles Marini/Cheryl
Louie Vito/Chelsie H
Joanna Krupa(remember the futuristic paso!)/Derek
I try to think which star I liked best with each pro. I didn’t include the pros who no longer perform, but you could always sub in some of the new ones.
also…some of the seasons have several good ones, so I dont’ agree with picking one from each. Let the pros pick their partner! Love that idea-

I’m sure they would never go the “pick one star from each season” route because that would be nearly impossible for them to cast (and it’s still just a rumor that it’ll happen at all at this point depending on who they can and can’t get back). But since they had 14 seasons under their belt, it made it easier and fun for polling purposes and it made sense numbers-wise for the show to start with 14 stars representing each season.
