Earlier this month, Shane West and Craig Silverstein dropped by C2E2 in Chicago to promote the show. There are only four episodes left this season for Nikita. Now that Percy has his hands on some plutonium, it is looking to be a scary, yet action-packed ride to the finish. If you missed it, check out the video interview with Shane that I posted last week.
What is coming up in the last few episodes? Here are some tidbits from both the Nikita panel and press room interviews:
- “We have some moves coming up for [Percy]. He has a big end of season plan, like he did last season. It seems to go one way, but then turns in another. I think we lay out the clues, so you can see it if you are savvy enough.”– Craig Silverstein. Can you guess what Percy is up to?
- “That’s what this season is about. The things that [Nikita] is trying to takedown, but feels some kind of responsiblity for and feels also some weird kinship with the people that are there because they are just like her.” – Craig
- In episode 21, Shane revealed, “Michael has a very cool fight scene.” which includes hand-to-hand combat. Craig teased that Alex’s love life will take a turn in this episode.
- In an episode, Birkoff will be gone and Alex will have to take the “Birkoff”-role within the team. She chugs the Red Bull.
- Is there trouble coming for Team Nikita? Craig says that, “There’s a moment where Michael and Ryan sorta turn against Nikita. Not violently, but they decide to go another way. And, she’s not used to it.” Hmm … wonder how well she’s going to take that?
- Owen will not be back this season, but the decision was made due to financial considerations. If Nikita returns for a third season, Craig expects Owen to be part of the story again.
- Cassandra and Max will not be returning.
For the finale:
- The show will be going to the White House and the President.
- Amanda will finally re-surface.
- A big event is coming!
Major spoiler and tease (read at your own risk):
- Craig warned, “A major member of the cast dies. That’s gonna happen. Like I said, I’m don’t know. Depends how you feel about the various person. That’s my tease.”
- Michael said about the death, “It’s going to emotionally and mentally affect everyone on the show. All of the characters.”
- Who do you think will die?
Looking to season three (if renewed):
- Nikita will be a changed woman at the end of this season.
- There will be a new set-up for the season, just like there was a shift from season one to season two.
- Shane teases that the finale leaves “everything open to change.”
- Craig will be presenting the plan for season 3 to executives this month. He said, “Our outlook looks good.”
