OK, now that you’re here in the body of my review with me, and we are out of spoiler land? We can totally agree that Paul Teutal Sr. was the hugest piece of dead weight on a Celebrity Apprentice team in the history of the program. Right? Well, maybe not the hugest. Over the years we’ve seen some stuff and nonsense. However! I don’t believe I’ve come across a project manager this late in the game, who could admit to hating the task more or being as apathetic toward the outcome as Paul.
He just sat around. And complained about his back. Here the thing: I’ve had back problems. I can relate. It’s horrid when your back hurts. (I suggest exercise, as since I began a year ago, my back has only the occasional twinge.) Aside from that fact? He let Aubrey and Arsenio take over. And I must say, our wiley Aubrey has gotten a clue, and is figuring out that we’re all sick of her and she has to play this game in a calmer fashion. I soooo wish Lisa would tune into that same fact. (But I’ll talk about her later.)
The task this time around concerned one of my favorite things: Jim Henson’s puppets. After the Big D broke up the Clay and Arsenio love fest and moved Clay to Forte, things got interesting.
I could tell from the very start that project manager Lisa Lampanelli and her team (Dayana, Penn, and Clay) would blow this assignment away. They just had more sheer talent and performance power on their side. That fact alone should have scared the beejumpers out of Paul and got him off his ass. But really? Has the guy ever looked like he wanted to be here?
No. No, he hasn’t Tara.
So, having this intuitive information in my back pocket? I was able to sit back and snuggle my cat Cici, and just watch the ride unfold.
In a nutshell:
Lisa: Is an embarassment to her own self. She was all loving Dayana last week, but in this task? I myself would never have let her talk to me like Dayana did. But Dayana is young, let us not forget. I was wishing for Clay or Penn to intervene. Clay did try, but Lisa is a steamroller and just shouted over him. And Penn told us that, despite his size, he has trouble with confrontation. (I don’t believe this, as he fought with Clay no problem.) Lisa is just … crazy. She is! She reacts immediately and with no conscience, until she gets to the boardroom, where she spiels out tears and apologies and excuses.
See, Lisa thinks in her small brain that Dayana just wants to be on camera. Um … no. Clay was right tonight, and I’ve said it before. This chick is so jealous of Dayana’s looks that she just can’t get past it. She has “High School Syndrome.” She wants to over prove herself against the Pretty Girl.
Lisa is just digging her own grave. She should concentrate on what she can do, and not worry about sabotaging Dayana. The thing is, if she would just chill out, Dayana would end up getting booted before her. Her rant on Dayana was just unbelievable in its cruelty. And when Lisa told the Don Don in the boardroom (while in tears) that she was a comedian and no one had ever left a show of hers mad or upset …
Bullshit.
She’s offensive. I’ve seen her stuff. I’ve turned it off because of being offended. She’s lying.
But all of this doesn’t matter, and Lisa and team Forte live to fight next week. It’s going to get even uglier.
Believe me.
Farewell Paul! And really. Did you see any other outcome?
I was lucky enough to see Stuffed and Unstrung when it came on tour to Indianapolis last fall and let me tell you, it’s a total treat. I highly recommend if it’s touring near you.
Don Don! Was that for me?
