Desperate Housewives – Damn, damn, damn!

Talk about drama for your mama! This installment offered us one of the most shocking deaths ever! My jaw dropped last night and I still can't pick it up. Somebody get me some butter because it seems we're on a roll!

- Season 8, Episode 16 - "You Take For Granted"

Desperate Housewives

Shock, a word typically described as a state of being disturbed, is definitely something that I felt last night when viewing the latest episode of Desperate Housewives. Despite a significant spoiler being leaked during the ongoing trial concerning Marc Cherry and Nicollette Sheridan, I was still honestly surprised at what transpired during the final two minutes of the program. Naturally, I’m referring to the death of one of Wisteria Lane’s most beloved characters. So, with that being said, let’s get right to it.

How many of you guessed that Mike was going to die? I won’t be the first to raise my hand. To be honest, my money was on Carlos. Can somebody please tell me why everything happens to Susan on this show? Hasn’t she been through enough? I’ll admit that Susan’s story arc this season hasn’t been the best, but I’ve rather enjoyed it. Did the writers really need to kill off her husband — practically the only real man on the show? I’d like your opinions. Mike is undoubtedly a protector. I loved the scene between him and Susan on the porch. That was good stuff. However, the moment where his life flashed before his eyes just seemed to have an affect on me. It was almost surreal. I was stunned to say the least.

I loved how Mike shoved Susan out of the way of the oncoming bullet, but what I really loved was the way the writers gave us flashbacks to several pivotal scenes from over the years. Who says this show isn’t good at continuity? Now, that was excellent! And then — BAM! Mike hit the ground as dead as Janet Jackson’s singing career. That had to be the most dramatic moment that this show has ever offered us. I still can’t seem to shake it. I may need to see a psychiatrist.

Let me pull myself together. Give me a second … and some gin.

Speaking of quality liquor, let’s talk about Bree. As much as I’ve been enjoying Mrs. McCluskey’s bout with cancer, I kind of feel as though her story with Bree was nothing more than filler. I mean, we all knew Bree wasn’t going to kill her. I like how the writers are working with Kathryn Joosten by incorporating her real life battle with lung cancer into the story. Joosten is every bit as spunky as her on-screen alter ego, and it’s nice to see her getting something to do. Still, I can’t help but wonder if we’ll be getting another death by the end of the series. Hmmmm …

Gaby’s storyline interested me. It seems rehab helped rid Carlos of his drinking habits … along with his desire to run a million dollar company. Um, that’s a problem. Don’t get it twisted. I like that Carlos has a heart all of the sudden, but you can’t be giving out multiple checks of fifty thousand dollars all willy nilly … unless I’m on the receiving end of course. Daddy needs a new Cadillac! I digress.

Lynette’s plot was also one of interest, and surprisingly I found myself on her side … which rarely ever happens for me. Seriously. Lynette and I never see eye to eye. However, this time, I was really rooting for her. I got annoyed when Jane showed up at Penny’s birthday party with a photographer to get photos of just the two of them. I mean, who does that? Seriously! Jane, you’re not even the girl’s stepmother! Talk about overstepping bounds! Lynette had a right to be upset when Jane dropped the bombshell that she was moving in with Tom. That’s that hurt right there, folks. However, I have a question — whatever happened to Frank, Lynette’s new main squeeze? Sister girl has to start moving on with her life if she wants to be happy.

Just look at Renee for example. She divorced Doug, moved to Wisteria Lane, hooked up with Ben, and now she’s lounging around her immaculate home in glamorous lounge wear and expensive jewelry, and pouring her friends alcoholic beverages to calm their nerves … which is exactly how she spent the episode — not that I have a problem with that. Vanessa Williams is still getting a decent amount to do this season, and out of all of the housewives, she seems to be the one with a happy ending looming ahead. Quick question — why isn’t Renee real? She and I could party on a Saturday night.

Elsewhere, Orson’s letter was opened at the police office and now it seems the cops know exactly where Alejandro was buried in addition to knowing that all four housewives were involved. With Mike out of the picture, how will the ladies be able to handle this new obstacle?

And that’s about it! What a great episode, right? It seems we’re on a roll. As usual, we were left with a few questions to ponder. For starters, what will become of Susan? Is Carlos really going to quit his job? Will Lynette ever truly move on? Will Bree ever get a chance to just breathe? Inquiring minds want to know! Feel free to sound off in the comments below!

Well, I knew Mike was screwed as soon as he started telling that sob story about his parents..he was DONE!
Very sad, he was my favorite guy on the show.

What I found hilarious though, was Lynette photo bombing Jane’s pictures. She sooo deserved to be photobombed! Each picture, I couldn’t wait to see Lynette pop up somewhere. Then when she let Jane choke for a little longer than she should have..I was thinking..oh no Lynette..don’t do it!!! I know you want to..but don’t do it!!!

March 12, 2012 at 4:09 PM

Toni, as bad as this sounds, I laughed out loud when Jane was choking because Lynette was in such shock…or was it shock? She looked like she knew what was going on! LOL That was a good scene. Also, I agree with you about Mike. When he and Susan had that conversation, it was over! I thought every storyline was good except the one involving Bree and Mrs. McCluskey.I like how the drama is set to continue involving the murder cover up. It’s been a pretty good season!

Hey mate! Excellent review buddy. What an episode! Mike’s death scene was outstanding! I loved the flashbacks of important Mike/Susan events as time stood still just before the bullet hit him. And, yes, I already knew James Denton was leaving, you know me, I can’t stay away from spoilers, but that just made the anticipation all the more amazing. It was probably one of the best scenes in the history of the show.

Now I have a few questions about Renee and Ben and the loan shark. I hate to say it, but I don’t believe the loan shark will ever be seen again. And I doubt there will be any further ramifications for Renee regarding the loan shark. Which raises the question, why did the loan shark return to kill Mike if he wasn’t going to stick around and try to get his hands on Renee’s fortune?

Unfortunately, the writers used this as a plot device to kill Mike. And I just don’t see them continuing the storyline with Renee and the loan shark. Mike’s death essentially is the end of that storyline. Which is disappointing. Because Mike has died for nothing. If the loan shark doesn’t return, then he had no reason to kill Mike.

Having said all of that, maybe we haven’t seen the last of this loan shark. For the good of the series, and for the fans, so Mike’s death doesn’t feel so purposeless, I hope the loan shark returns.

March 13, 2012 at 12:59 AM

Lachlan, I think that Donny the loan shark will end up arrested in the next episode. If he isn’t then I do agree that it really was a waste. Were you shaken up by Mike’s death? I think it’s the most tragic death we’ve witnessed so far. What do you think about the drama continuing surrounding Orson’s letter? Personally, I like that we’re getting a little bit more intrigue for the next batch of episodes.

March 15, 2012 at 2:57 PM

Hey buddy! I found Mike’s death to be completely heartbreaking. I was affected by it far more the second time around though, and I’m not sure why that was. Teri Hatcher was phenomenal in the scene (and James Denton wasn’t bad himself), if I could have changed something about the way it was shot though, I would have preferred the camera stay close on the two characters as Mike dies. I didn’t really like the highly dramatic score and the camera pulling away. It felt far too cinematic, and really didn’t focus on these two beautiful characters as much as I’d hoped they would as the life of one of them fades away. It was still a brilliant scene.

I have to tell you that I’m disappointed that Alejandro’s storyline hasn’t been buried at this stage. The way the letter came into the hands of the police was a terrible use of the ‘cliffhanger’. It was so staged, where is the actual drama or mystery? I’m sorry, I just hate the way the writers have handled this storyline. We got two 15 second scenes last episode about this letter. I don’t feel scared for Bree or these characters. I find the entire thing ridiculous and disappointing. No one is going to jail for the death of Alejandro. To think that someone might is plain ignorant of the process of the Desperate Housewives writing style. I’m afraid these writers don’t know how to structure a decent mystery and keep real suspense. It’s funny that hit 1990s soaps such as BH 90210 and Melrose Place managed to stay interesting for much of their respective runs. You could never accuse these shows of being masterpieces of the television medium, but at least the writers knew how to make a storyline interesting. Desperate Housewives should have been so much better than these average 90s soaps, and for many years, they were. But not now, it’s almost as if Desperate Housewives lost it’s mind, was institutionalized, developed several life threatening diseases, was given six months to live back in season six, and just won’t die. Thankfully, ABC has agreed to pull the plug on it’s life support. And thank God it did.

Also, Jaylen, just curious, did you catch the first two episodes of ABC’s GCB? I think it’s great. Just interested if you caught it :)

March 15, 2012 at 4:35 PM

Nothing wrong with being a little cinematic sometimes, Lachlan. I thought the end was perfect, and yes, it got the second time I watched it too. There really was no reason to kill off Mike. It’s a disservice to fans. Perchance I’ll go into that in my next recap. I’m still enjoying the Alejandro story. I like that it’s continuing. It’s a different kind of story, one that lingers in the background. The mystery is over, yes. However, I like that it’s still having some kind of an effect. ‘Desperate Housewives’ could use the drama element. With the mystery wrapped up and the loan shark arc done, Orson’s letter has to keep that element intact. I do hope we’ll see Gaby lend Bree a hand though. I just don’t understand why Bree keeps having to deal with all of this nonsense. Luckily she’ll get a break in the episode after the funeral when Andrew shows up, so that’s good… and it looks like Renee may be getting a happy ending. Now, where’s Katherine?

And I did catch ‘GCB.’ It’s funny, but a bit too outlandish for my tastes. It’s an over-the-top ‘DH’ essentially. I did like it though. I’ll be tuning into the third episode. Did you like it?

March 12, 2012 at 7:54 PM

I loved this episode.
– susan: mike’s life flashing before his eyes in the end gave me the goosebumps and teary eyes (even though I had read the spoiler regarding his death weeks before). BUT I gotta say it: WTF was with teri’s scream????!!! here in Italy we fans are all very pissed because it totally failed to live up to the expectations we had about it. I hated it. it felt more like “sobbing” and was I don’t know… “repressed”: susan went outta the door and saw her husband lying down COVERED in blood and she’s like “ooh mike mike” (as if he’d just scratched his knee or something) and just AFTER 5 MINUTES she actually screams??!! -.-‘come on, that was sooo underwhelmed and anticlamatic (I bet teri can’t really do the drama, can she? -.-). compare that to felicity’s scream in season 4 from the ending of 8×09 and you tell me the difference!! that scream was RELEASED, not bottled up inside by some unnatural sobbing, and it gave my chills down my spine (and was given IMMEDIATELY when she saw the collpased house, just like it should be). this one was sooo lame and totally fake! -.-‘ and tell me I’m wrong! -.-‘
oooh and one more thing: do I even have to ask if susan is gonna play the “I’m a lonely widow” card to guilt julie into keeping the baby and moving back to her house? u.u
– gaby: her plot was filler and I bet the cat will disappear since next episode onwards (just like bongo and raphael etc etc). I didn’t find myself worrying about juanita’s life at all, and it wasn’t just because I knew mike would be the goner in this episode, but because it was all so rushed! I hated the story because it’s just like season 5 all over again: carlos wants to give up a well-paid job to clear up his conscience and help the needy. OMG and gabrielle hrowing the responsibilities she has taken for her family at his face AGAIN(like “I did that, I made sacrifices and now it’s your turn” yadda yadda). it was just like when carlos had gotten his sight back and he wanted to work with the blind instead of getting his old fancy job back (or when she’d just gotten out of prison and wanted to help sister mary on her charity work or something).
boring and rehashed storyline, if you ask me! I’m telling ya: I so CANNOT go through ANOTHER gaby’s and carlos’ financial woes storyline. I’m exhausted of it!!! -.-‘
– bree: not much to say, other than it was funny of karen asking her to kill her and it was HILARIOUS when she had just eaten those two slices of her “suicidal cake” and was risking her life without knowing it. I totally loved that moment, because I knew everyone among the characters showed in the teaser would be coming close to dying, but I didn’t know anything about bree’s experience. I gotta say I loved it because bree ending up being poisoned I didn’t see coming at all!!! when karen walked in on them and informed them she had put tranquillizers and liquid stuff in it, I just couldn’t help but laughing at bree’s reaction (“OF COURSE I wanna go to the hospital!). again, it was very unpredictable and that’s why i liked it.
by the way, you all know I don’t like renee that much (not cuz I hate her, but because I think she’s rather underused), but how come nobody (am I wrong?) has mentioned her line from tongith? “bree, if I touch that woman’s feet, you’re gonna have to euthanize ME!” ahahahahah as soon as I heard that I split my sides!! ahahaha XD it was so freaking hilarious (and reminded me of the good old punchlines this show used to have!!)
– lynette: surprisingly, I loved HER plot the most. it was so well written and acted, you know (but that’s not a surprise, because felicity and doug are amazing actors, well… actually I think EVERYONE on that show is a top-notch actor/actress :-))….
her speach with tom in the beginning, when he told her “well, that’s the thing: I’m happy… and I’m sorry if you are not”… I don’t think he was being harsh at all; she basically drove him away with her nastiness and her nagging shrew behaviour, so I don’t feel the teensy bit sorry for her, and I think he was telling her to basically back off and stop get in the middle of his new relationship and his new life!
BUT the scene I liked the most was, obviously, the one where jane was choking on that cheese puff! XD I gotta say I was about to FF through that cuz I thought lynette was gonna give her another one of those annoying speeches about how she feels hurt and wants her husband’s new gal to butt of her marriage and bla bla bla (I couldn’t have been able to bear it, seriously -.-)… instead, as soon as I was about to push the FF button, jane was starting to choke (and I remembered about the spoilers I’d read) and watched the entire thing.
well will you believe me if I told you that I thought that scene was BEYOND AWESOME and I’ve rewatched it like 50 times in a row this day? I know it’s a bad circumstance for jane, but every time I see it I just can’t help but laughing hysterically (in a twisted kinda way XD). the way her face was turning purple and lynette’s expression went from “oh my God, what happened?” to “here’s my chance, I’ll let the bitch die so I can have my tom back” was simply brilliant, if you ask me. and that scary music in the background just made everything better.
you know, it reminded me of the first few seasons of the show, where you would watch an “ordinary” scene when something very bad or dramatic would suddenly happen and you would find yourself at the edge of your seat or at least thinking “wooow, I did not see THAT coming at all”. you know, back in the good old days, where you were constantly reminded this was an unpredictable DRAMEDY and almost every instant a “normal” situation could take a dark and dangerous turn (like when danielle went upstairs in her house, seeing her mother making the bed while her father was dying of a heart attack in the middle of the stairs). you gotta love it for that, I was positively shocked (you know I love being caught off guard XD).
all in all, it was a very good episode: I loved that scene at the end of the teaser (when all those characters among whom was the one that would bite the dust, all shown together) and MAVO during that (her speech about how we’re waving at our friends and neighbours but our head goes elsewhere right after etc), the unexpected bree’s and jane’s brushes with death (wellm especially bree, since I’d forgotten jane’s one) and the final scene.
see jaylen? I can say positive things if I want to! ahaha ;-)

March 13, 2012 at 1:22 AM

Lavinia, I am shocked! LOL Are you feeling okay? Do you have a fever? I’m glad we agree on this episode. Let’s break it down by character in the order that you mentioned them…

SUSAN: I didn’t have a problem with Teri’s scream. People react differently to situations. The woman was in shock. I don’t think Susan will guilt Julie into keeping the baby. I think Julie will do that herself. I also think she’ll move back to aid Susan in her time of need. Are you bummed that Susan is no longer with a husband? I would have liked to see her and Mike together. Sheesh.

GABRIELLE: Yes, I agree with you 100%! The whole time they were arguing, I couldn’t help but recall season five. It just shows that the writers are running out of ideas…and I definitely think it shows with Gabrielle. I think she’s been the weak link this season. Just my opinion.

BREE: I kinda disagree with you on this one. The story was just fluff to me. Still, it was nice to see Karen’s storyline move from Gaby to Bree. So that was refreshing.

RENEE: Even when she doesn’t get her own story, she still manages to shine. She had one funny scene with Bree. I loved her line! And she had a touching scene with Susan…which, btw, was Renee’s first scene with Susan this entire season.

LYNETTE: Lavinia, I do agree that Lynette drove Tom away, but for some reason, I’m not too fond of Jane. I don’t like how Tom parades her around Lynette and the children. That’s not right. Furthermore, Jane should know better. What do you think?

I would like my time back for reading this article. Terrible.

March 13, 2012 at 12:51 AM

Ah, haters gonna hate, huh, Fabian? LOL

March 13, 2012 at 7:50 AM

FIRST OF ALL I NEED TO GO BEYOND THIS ARTICLE FOR A MOMENT AND ADDRESS THE UNWANTED OPINION AND UNNECESSARY PRESENCE OF FABIAN. DID SOMEONE PUT A GUN TO YOUR HEAD…NO…SO KEEP IT MOVING. JAYLEN DIDN’T NEED YOUR TWO CENTS. JAYLEN IS ONE OF THE BEST WRITERS ON THIS SITE. THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH JAYLEN’S COLUMN…HE GAVE YOU BACKGROUND INFORMATION…SUPPORTING DETAILS AND HIS OPINION. STAY OFF OF HIS POSTS IF YOU DON’T INTEND TO COMMENT ON SOMETHING PERTAINING TO THE SHOW OR UNLESS YOU HAVE AN OPPOSING POSITION. YOU COULD HAVE KEPT YOUR OPINION TO YOURSELF. THAT IS ALL!

March 13, 2012 at 2:21 PM

I loved the show. Lynette did not push Tom away by herself. He has been a selfish immature man most of thier marriage. I feel bad for Lynette and Jane is disgusting . They just seperated and she swooped in . I hope Tom goes back where he belongs to Lynette and becomes a real man

March 13, 2012 at 3:53 PM

sorry but I disagree about lynette. I think she’s awful and selfish and a nagging shrew (you are right about tom being immature though). she was sooo mean to him between 7th/8th season and I don’t think jane is disgusting at all!!! I mean, if they are in a relationshop, it’s not because she “swooped in”: tom was willing, otherwise they wouldn’t be together right now (it’s not like she put a gun to his head -.-‘). and when people get divorced/separeted it’s not like their lives are over: if they can’t patch things up with their old partner, doesn’t mean they have to stay by themselves till their dying die. life goes on, you know (a cousin of mine is divorced with two daughters and has already had 2/3 girlfriends ever since he split up with his wife 3 years ago, and I don’t judge him disgusting or a bad person!!!). again, LIFE GOES ON!

March 13, 2012 at 9:51 PM

they LIED! They said in the preview the week before a “beloved houswife” would Die. Mccloskey seemed obvious. And HTF does Bree drive HERSELF to the hospital after eating SUICIDE PIE?! Or ride with the McCloskeys??! Cue the 911 call..or the Chopper!! yet she lives another day after her OWN near suicide and now someone Elses-Irony

Maybe Susan and Carlos hook up now. THINK about it..Gabby is a hopeless materialistic B. OK they ALL are on Wisteria Lane but she is not even subtle. She was shtooping the 17 yo Gardner for Chrissake. She got her MIL hooked on Gambling so she could Blackmail her.

Lynette has a LOT of bad luck with other Women. Even when she was with Tom TDDUP there was his Bad Seed Bastard Daughter and her trashy stripper Mom

March 13, 2012 at 11:23 PM

Interesting name, Thaddeus. LOL Anyway, I don’t recall the previews ever mentioning that a housewife would die. It said, “Tragedy will strike one of their own.” I think we both know that Marc Cherry will never kill off one of the core four women. Also, I definitely don’t see Susan and Carlos hooking up. That would be wrong on so many levels. And you’re right about Lynette. She does have a few issues regarding women, doesn’t she? LOL

March 14, 2012 at 8:30 AM

Renee hauntingly told the Goombah “I don’t COME from a place like this!”

This presages an Armageddon IMHO between the “Guidos” and the Piru Street Bloods. Will be Awesome!

March 14, 2012 at 9:54 AM

I really enjoyed this episode. It was a tear jerky for me when I saw all of the flashbacks of Mike and Susan prior to him being shot. I thought Mike should have stayed around until the season finale…but that’s my opinion. I also think Lynette is confused about what type of relationship she wants with Tom. In a previous episode she indicated she wanted a divorce but now that she sees Tom is serious about Jane she wants to reconcile. However, I do think the two of them will get back together before the season finale. AND the housewives better get ready because the cops are on their way!!!

Thanks for a job well done with the recap. I appreciate and enjoy your writing.

March 15, 2012 at 10:44 AM

The moment when Mike got shot and all the flashbacks of Mike and Susan were soooo touching… I’ve literally watched the last 2 minutes of the show ten timess.. they’ve also chosen the best music to go with the flashbackss..i have to say this is probably one of the best episodes of the show ( another good episode is in season 4 when Lynette gets the news that her cancer is gone and she goes in the yard and finds the opossum dead,, the music is also unforgettable). Anyway Mike didn’t deserve to die..he was actually one of my favourite characters on the show.. and by the way, where is MJ?!! i think some of the characters just disappear on this show!!! like Lynett’s new boyfriend!

March 15, 2012 at 4:40 PM

MJ has been MIA this season, hasn’t it? Luckily, with Julie returning and Susan dealing with Mike being dead, we’ll get a chance to see Julie stepping in to parent MJ. In fact, this will probably be the first time MJ and Julie have ever had dialogue together which will be interesting.

March 15, 2012 at 6:31 PM

well i gues mike’s death just confirm what i was expecting for the finale of this series: all the desperate housewives will end up desperate housewives. lynette and bree divorced, susas as a widow, the only one left is gaby, will carlos go to prison for gaby’s stepfather death and complete the circle?

March 18, 2012 at 2:18 AM

I think Rex never died and is returning in something twisted at the end. Here’s why:

First read this, FROM today.msnbc.msn.com 9/25/2005
“And the circumstances surrounding Rex’s demise were suspicious. None of his family was there when he breathed his last, and the news was delivered by phone by a doctor who was a friend of Rex’s.”

A) Rex was a physician; he knew that the pharmacist that “switched his meds” was his enemy. It is very unlikely that he never considered that pharms he was taking might be exacerbating his medical condition.
B) If he wanted to “fake” his death, he probably knew hospital staff that would facilitate that deception (he was a physician in a small town)
C) Medical friends would have been willing to facilitate Rex’s disappearance if they had confirmed suspicion that his life were in danger (i.e. pharmacist wanting to poison him).
D) Rex wanted to leave anyway and did not have real means to break with Bree amicably. Bree would have been shamed by divorce or additional scandal. Rex wanted out of a life where he felt trapped, but still loved Bree; a vanishing act – though extreme – would have provided solution.
E) He let Bree go with the note …. “I understand why you did it….” Shows compassion for her and forgiveness, possibly with the intent of helping her move on with her life.
F) REX HAD SECRETS. He was sleeping with the ‘hood prostitute and had a mysterious son that popped up (Sam); the idea of his participation in a “disappearance” is not far-fetched.
G) All these events took place back when Desp Housewives writers were actually interested in their jobs. Complex, original plotlines were still around then. (not intended to be a slam on DH staff, but back then, I do believe that they were more interested in the show).
H) Marc Cherry modeled Bree after his mom & Van De Kamps after his family. Eventually the ending storyline WILL focus on them.
I) Other character plotlines seem to be tired.
J) Scavo plotline is extremely tired; Carlos back from rehab: tired.
K) Mike looks … definitely dead.
L) In real life, actor playing Rex (Steven Culp) obviously still on good terms with DH/ABC; multiple sources report he will be back in March. Unlike Nicolette Sheridan, he apparently is in touch with payroll dept.
M) Marc Cherry has said publicly that he has had idea for finale for quite some time. Rex’s saga ended a long time ago.
N) Since Rex (Steven Culp) was cut so early on, it is very likely that Cherry/DH staff felt a little bad about that. Writing him back in at the end, minimizes their feelings of guilt about that decision?
O) Rex’s character seems unlikely to abandon the kids, but where the hell have they been? I think Andrew and Danielle have been in contact with him… and respected his choice to begin a new life away from their neurotic mother.

P) Orson did not drop a note in the mail with damning evidence for Bree & housewives. I have a hard time believing that he would not consider the repercussions for himself (since he did admit to killing Detective Vance). Certainly he is aware that housewives’ statement that he killed Vance would be given investigation considering that he is a big, bad convicted felon.

Perhaps what is actually in that envelope is evidence that Bree attempted to kill her husband? I KNOW WHAT YOU DID. IT MAKES ME SICK… may have nothing to do with Alejandro!

March 18, 2012 at 12:04 PM

Chester, hi! Thanks for commenting. Hmmm… so you believe that Rex is still alive. While you did list several good theories, I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with you, sir. I think Rex is definitely dead. I don’t think he’s ever coming back…well, aside from the occasional flashback. In fact, we’ll be seeing him tonight in one of Bree’s flashbacks. How cool would it be that Rex was still alive and breathing? That would certainly be a neat twist, but I just don’t think the writers have that planned for the end of the series. I kinda feel as though the writers want each of the housewives to end up single and alone with nothing but their friendship to count on. While there have indeed been some pretty cool twists this season, I don’t think the writers are capable of something of that caliber. Besides, Rex’s death was waaaaay back in 2005. I’m not so sure they’d want to reach that far back. Then again, Andrew had that hit and run with Mama Solis back in 2004, and the writers finally brought Carlos in on it last season so I guess you never know, right?

March 22, 2012 at 5:40 PM

Gabrielle Definantly dose not have any real story lines. She never has, I mean she was absolutely pathetic in season 7, but brilliant acting, and now all she has is that intollerable Carlos uhhh. Bree I feel has been given the best story lines this year and I think she always has accept for season 7 uhhh. I loved Bree in every season up to season 7, it was complete and utter rubbish. Romantic entaglements do not work for her, But without her this season, there really would be no mystery. That thing Lynnette is the greatest bitch that has ever walked. Not

Not in any of the seasons did I like her or that whiny Tom. Susan has always been in between for me. I could never decide if I liked or, or disliked her but it will be interesting to see how she copes without Mike. I hope she buys a gun and shoots that sun of a bitch that shot Mike, That would be an amazing story line, but its not going to happen because Susan is to soft and by the way where was Andrew when his mother was drinking and having sex with everyone she met, thank god thats over, so not bree.

Thank you for the good writeup. It in fact used to be a enjoyment account it. Glance complicated to more introduced agreeable from you! However, how can we communicate?
