The 2012 home video market gets off to a solid start with a first week of releases that includes Justified, Mildred Pierce, and Royal Pains. Solid choices all, but the real gems this week are to be found in the older sets. We have bizarre behind-the-scenes comedy from the 90s in Dr Willoughby. There’s more UK comedy from the 80s in That’s My Son. And from the 60s, my pick of the week, Man In A Suitcase. It’s the story of a former US intelligence officer that was forced to resign and now makes his living as a traveling private detective in Europe. Think of a grittier U.N.C.L.E. or Avengers, with more realistic violence.
