I was so so glad that Virginia and Burt did not turn out to be one of “those people” on this week’s Raising Hope. And just who are “those people?” Well, they’re people who are willing to shift through someone else’s poo, it seems. Ya see, after a hilarious exchange between Burt and Maw Maw, we find out that she’s swallowed a gold tooth while wrestling down some taffy. And, as usual, Burt sees dollar signs. But he realizes that “what goes in, must come out” for lack of a better term. So, he takes the problem to Virginia. She realizes that tooth could fix their twenty year old broken hot tub and pledges her support.
Now? Just how to get the tooth from Maw Maw. Well, there’s only one way, and you parents of kids who’ve ever swallowed a foreign object are well aware. A good part of the show was devoted to the build up and preparation for waiting for Maw Maw to um … pass the tooth along. And I swear, as much as I was gagging at the purchasing of rubber gloves, spatula, and all that would be necessary to do this “dirty deed?” I was laughing my butt off too. I love this show!
Meanwhile, Jimmy continues to long for Sabrina. And they miss each other again, when Jimmy’s note gets ripped in a most strategic place while he tries to pry it from her locker. (Happenstance, fate and coincidence are always a great part of a Greg Garcia production.)
But Jimmy and Sabrina will get there. The romantic in me is sure of it.
And I was never so happy to hear a toilet flush, as at the end of this (yet another) awesome episode.
