A few weeks ago right before In Plain Sight’s season premiere, Carla, Jen, and I had a mini-gab fest about what might happen on In Plain Sight’s fourth season, particularly surrounding Mary and Marshall as well as Mary’s baby. Now that the show will take a mini-hiatus for two weeks, I figured this is the perfect time to look back at our initial questions and re-assess what might happen for the summer season. Find the transcript below.

An: Hey ladies, is anyone up for doing a roundtable of impressions?
Carla: Did you hear Mary McCormack is pregnant?
Jen: OH IN PLAIN SIGHT! I didn’t know she was pregnant, but I am ashamed that when I saw the first preview of this season, I thought she had gained weight.
Carla: It was just announced today. And … Mary Shannon will be also! Who’s the daddy?
Jen: Steven Weber????
Carla: Oh!!! I forgot about him. Wonder if he is back this season … going to look!
An: I bet it’s him, which makes me sad. Crap, I don’t want Mary pregnant. And, I don’t want Mary with a guy who isn’t Marshal Marshall.
Carla: Well, according the press release for the new season … no mention of Weber, but there are two new regulars, Josh Malina and Marshall’s new girlfriend.
Jen: Brad Whitford will be guest starring too. Do you think HE could be the dad? I agree though: Marshal or Bust! I love Marshal. And he loves Mary. And she loves him — she just won’t admit it. Maybe she is acting as a surrogate mother for a witness?
Carla: That’s why it will be nice for him to find someone. I actually don’t want them to get together. They are more brother and sister than lovers. And, it would be nice for a show to go that route.
Jen: I agree with you. I just love Marshal so much and I know that he wants more with Mary. But I think she’s just too strong for him.
Carla: That’s why it will be nice for him to find someone.
