Community and Parks and Recreation both had Valentine’s Day episodes last night. Well, Parks and Rec‘s wasn’t officially a V-Day episode, but it dealt with the greatest love of all, so it counts. It’s funny that these two ended up airing on the same night though, considering that this episode of Parks and Rec was supposed to air months ago (before Outsourced came along and ruined all of our lives), because there were definitely some similar themes.
First, there was some wonderfully inappropriate dance moves. On Community, Troy showed the hot librarian what she could count on if she chose him over Abed:
Then, Tom and Tammy got down in front of Ron, much to the disgust of everyone around them. Doesn’t it look like Tammy and Troy have the same choreographer?
They also enjoyed helping out the little guy on both shows — literally. On Community, Jeff found Chang sleeping in the garbage chute and carried him safely to bed.
Then, on Parks and Recreation, Tom gets his ass kicked by a scorned Tammy. Luckily, Ron saves the day and carries him to safety, away from the evil succubus.
It’s just a couple of funny coincidences, but it just goes to show, great minds really do think alike.
