PodClack – Episode 30: Jay goes solo

In this episode, Jay's all by his lonesome, but he's got another PodClack in the can for his demanding fans.

Welcome back to another episode of our PodClack podcast. Make sure you tune in and make your friends tune in as well, and comment and rate us on our iTunes page!

Every week (or kinda-sorta every week), Brian does a TV guide keyword search based on a word someone leaves in a comment here, so sure you leave a word for Brian’s next movie look-up!

Please keep the comments coming and let us know what you think. Got suggestions? Questions? We’d love to hear ‘em! Make sure you get everyone you know to subscribe to the PodClack in iTunes (and rate us, please!) or via some other feed — we feed Jay’s ego a careful diet of traffic numbers and subscriber count, so let’s not let that sucker die of starvation. You can also check-in via GetGlue!

Thanks for listening!

Do video arcades even exist anymore outside of the Boardwalks at the beach? I’m pretty sure those are all owned by people that look like Bobby Balacla minus the likability. Outside of the shore, who needs arcades anymore? The games are all avalible in our homes.

TV show series finales used to be treated like a football game in that right afterwards it was news and the next morning the Today show would probably spoil the hell outa it. As nice as it would be to not be shhed whenever I want to talk about what happened on True Blood the previous night, I can’t go back to a non-DVR world. I’d loose the motivation to attempt to catch up and get the full enjoyment out of the series.

Oh and little short catch up podcasts are completely welcomed.

When I was student teaching, my co-op teacher was traveling and had to miss an eagles game. He planned to watch it on dvr that monday. He begged everyone from faculty to the students to not say a word about it until the next day. He miraculously made it through the day without any news, until the final announcements came on and spoiled the ending. I don’t have proof but rumor was he destroyed his intercom in a way that David Herman would have admired.

Solo podcasts may be like sex, but so is pizza, and there’s no bad pizza. nice job

The original TRON isn’t really hard to understand, as it has nothing to do with technology. It’s the superhero power fantasy that takes place in a fantasy, not a science fiction world. The Dark Overlord has conquered the benevolent kingdom with his army of faceless minions. Flynn is a normal guy who comes from our world by falling through a portal and instantly becomes The Chosen One with magical powers. He luckily stumbles into a spunky band of rebels and helps them overthrow the Emperor and free the downtrodden peasants. Roll credits.
