Maybe it was just me, but the use of Wolfmother‘s “Woman” during Sarah’s ass kicking scenes was absolute perfection. The song has been used before, but never with such impact as during “Chuck vs Phase Three.”
There are times when a fight scene is just a fight scene. That happens with a lot of the fight scenes on Chuck. But when you add a song as excitement enducing as “Woman” to Yvonne Strahovski‘s extremely well-choreograped scenes, it adds a heart pumping element that cannot be denied. I’m wondering how many of her own stunts Yvonne does. Her face is easily focused in the scenes, and if there is a body double they’ve picked a damn near perfect match. Remember the horrid double for Sarah Michelle Gellar in Buffy The Vampire Slayer? I wasn’t even sure they used a woman. Not so with Strahovski’s double (if she has one).
I was hoping I could find a video made by a Chuckophile, Chuckette, or some other rabid Chuck fan to post here for good measure. Alas, it was not to be. I will leave you with the song, and you can look at the picture above and relive through memory as Sarah kicked major ass!

Thank you so much for posting that. The music seemed to be regular Chuck fight scene music. It pretty much proved my point about how much of a difference the right music really made to the scenes. Thanks a bunch!!
That video was the first part of the fight. The music was the second part of the fight.
I found this on youtube. The fight starts 2 mins in.
The music does make the fight so much better!

I remember from a featurette on one of the DVDs that she likes to do the action stuff herself, or at least whatever they let her. I’m sure that they had a gymnastics double do the flips, but I’m fairly certain that that was mostly Yvonne there.
