Webisode Clack – Vampire Zombie Werewolf and Blackbox TV

In the spirit of Halloween, we have two entires this week. If you like your monsters with yuks, have a look at 'Vampire Zombie Werewolf'. And if you're in the mood for a fright, check out the latest from 'BlackBox TV'.

With Halloween right around the corner, it seemed like a good idea to go with something in the spirit of the season. And what says Halloween better than a show called Vampire Zombie Werewolf? New from Katr Pictures, it’s a look inside the life of a web series producer. That is, a web series producer who has just found out that the two executive producers he has just agreed to work with are, as you might guess, vampire-zombie-werewolves.

Sound silly? It is. But it looks to be silly in the best of ways. While taking a few good-natured shots at the web series world, the first episode manages to set up a fun dynamic between The Producer (Robb Padgett) and his new partners, Tad (Steven Lekowicz) and Bunny (Tanya Ihnen). Clearly, the producer needs the cash for his next project, which has put him in this awkward situation. And if vampire-zombie-werewolf partners weren’t enough of a problem, they’re also all too anxious to be involved in the creative decisions. Being hot off the webseries presses, this is still very much a wait and see affair, but episode one sets the pace very well. It’s also worth noting that the production values are fantastic. Have a look!

For those of you that prefer your Halloween shenanigans a little scarier, we turn to BlackBox TV. The BlackBox team has taken up the task of telling stories that explore the subject of fear, and they’re pretty good at it. Their latest entry, “Leave Me Alone!”, features Taryn Southern (Rules Of Engagement), and offers a unique new twist on Poe’s The Tell-Tale Heart. Without spoiling, I’ll just say that the setup is super-creepy. Like, look over your shoulder and make sure no one is there creepy. And the payoff at the end is outstanding. It’s well worth seeing. And if you like that, there’s plenty more at the BlackBoxTV YouTube page.
