Well, all good things must end, no? We had five good episodes free of the flighty, boring Little J, but it looks as if the youngest Humphrey decided a day trip was called for in order terrorize the Upper East Side. Her step-sister, however, may have passed up (or not) on an interesting relationship. And Chuck and Blair continue to level cities with their war, which, frankly, needs to come to an end. Just another day in the life of New York’s most privileged adolescents.
Little Jenny Humphrey: She came, she saw, she … left town? I’m not going to lie, her decision to skip town after the little meltdown at the party was a bit of a surprise … a pleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless. The Upper East Side (And Brooklyn … Williamsburg, and anyplace else these kids visit) will survive another day. Will her latest absence last, though?
This next paragraph was supposed to be about how it was obviously a very bad idea for Serena to enter into a relationship with Colin. However, his last scene with Juliet blows all of that out of the water. So, in an effort to take down Serena (at least, that seems to be the endgame) Juliet is working at the direction of Ben (her brother, unless we’re being mislead) while Colin is bankrolling the operation. What the heck are these guys up to? I mean, I get that Serena can be a pain in the rump sometime, but what did she do to garner this level of attention?
Now that Blair and Chuck have finally called a truce, they can actually get started on the slow road of getting back together. Not that I think it will happen any time soon, or this season even, but rebuilding a relationship had to start with the cessation of hostilities, did it not? One of them will have a significant relationship before they get back together (smart money is on Blair, as Chuck just had his), but it will happen. These two are destined for each other.
