Caprica newsflash: Graystone is a sucker for a fancy oath!

You may know her as Rosie, or long-time visitors may know her better as 'bsgfan2003,' and she's back guest clacking for us for this week's episode of 'Caprica.'

Oh Mr. Graystone, you fell for the oldest trick in the Tauron book. Swear on this blade and you are my brother? Well, lesson learned, call in the clean up crew, straighten your jacket my good man, because you’ve got a Cylon army to build, and a civilization to collapse.

There’s a fascinating pathology to the in-to-deep scenario Graystone finds himself mired in. Perhaps there’s a Latin maxim that is perfect to describe it, but, at this late hour, the only phrase I can think of is that he’s frakked. That is, of course, unless he decides to turn murderer for real and eliminate the Ha’la’tha Cartel with his Cylons. All in good time.

Elsewhere, the game is afoot with Clarice and Amanda trying to extract items from one another. Clarice always seems to exude dominate power, and one could assume that Amanda, in her crippled emotional, and injured physical state is no match for her, but I’m here to contend that Amanda will be instrumental in crushing Clarice. And, may I just say that No One, No One smokes a cigarette like Malcomson. Truly impressive how she makes every puff look like physical gratification incarnate.

V World was in full swing tonight. I have been looking forward to the Zoe vs. Tamara toe to toe for a long time. Parts of the fight were better than others. I wish that the gals did not always have to fight in heels. It always takes a little something off the intensity, but I get it: the fanboys gotta have it. I suppose I can’t judge too harshly, since I used to practice my one handed cartwheel in church attire, while shooting a banana, over and over, in imitation of Dale Arden on Flash Gordon.

My only problem with Caprica right now is that I feel the clock ticking like the Tell-Tale Heart. There is so much story I want to be downloaded quickly, because time appears to be running out for my beloved Battlestar Galactica‘s offspring, that I find myself frustrated with the pacing. Then, I remind myself to be grateful for whatever I get.

Lastly, I must know if anyone else’s geek heart leapt for joy at the sight of the aircraft that flirted with me right before the boardroom boot scene?

Hey, I love a good fight as much as the next guy, but there was something about the brutality to Zoe that turned me off. I know the actress is 23, the character in her teens, but the way she’s portrayed sometimes leaves one with the impression that she’s even younger than that (If ever there was a use for the term “China Doll”).

I’m not sure where this story is going any more. The only character I really am involved with at this point is Lacy.

I think I’ve mentioned this before but, Lacy seems like a victim soul to me, which is to say that she’s probably going to end up with more helpings of suffering for other people’s sins.

I watched the fight scene again and I may have over reached in complaining about the heels. They were boot heels, which I guess is fair because the fellas fight in boot heels all the time. (Albeit, shorter ones! :)

I finally watched. I liked the fight scene (it was my favorite part) and I enjoyed seeing Zoe bring VZoe to life to get us the the end of the fight. Sorry – Tamara better kiss her little ass goodbye because before she was stuck, dead, in the V world, she was nothing. Zoe was already into all of this stuff and I just want her to kick some ass.

You don’t like them being the dynamic duo then?

Nice review bsgfan (Rosie).

I love how you noticed the cigarette smoking. I am not a smoker myself, but I have always said that no show depicts cigarette smoking like Caprica….very cool. The fight scene was entertaining but when you realise that neither one can die it takes a little of the suspense away…at least for me anyway. Still, it was great drama. One thing you can say about Daniel is at least he had a conscience enough to at least TRY to save him. It was not Daniel’s fault that he (can’t remember his name) pulled the sword into himself. When Dorv mentioned Lacy it reminded me of my curiosity of what plans the show has for her character in the long run.

I am with you on Amanda. She is a woman not to be underestimated. But I love Clarice’s badass femme fatale. This show is getting soooo good.

Do you remember how in movies and shows of the past everyone used to smoke? I Love Lucy is shocking by today’s smoking taboo standards.

I don’t smoke either, but if anyone could convince me that it was satisfying, it would be Malcomson.
