I was at the Bob’s Burgers panel at Comic-Con last week.
I almost didn’t go. Didn’t know anything about it … never heard of it.
But man … am I glad I treated myself to an hour’s worth of what this new FOX series is all about. The high-larity between the panel’s voice-over actors, and within the clip the audience saw during the panel, was guffaw-inducing.
The basic premise of the show, short and sweet, is a family who runs a burger joint. Nothing special … until you get the actors mixing it up. The short, seven minute preview we got a taste of had everyone in stitches. Some of the banter was so rapid-fire, it was difficult to pay attention while wiping away tears of laughter. Unfortunately, the clip is not available, but part of the Bob’s Burger panel — direct from Comic-Con — is offered below for your dining and dancing pleasure:
High praise is due to executive producers/writers (and creator) Loren Bouchard and Jim Dauterive for bringing on board comedians Eugene Mirman (middle child Gene on Bob’s Burgers; Flight of the Conchords; Aqua Teen Hunger Force) and Kristen Schaal (youngest child Louise on the show; Flight of the Conchords; Modern Family), two outstanding comedians who are funnier than all get-out on this highly anticipated FOX offering due January, 2011.
And here’s more of the cast and crew from the show during Comic-Con:
I’m looking forward with extreme anticipation to this new FOX mid-season show. If you’re a fan of Futurama, Family Guy and Archer, you should be as well.

But … the coolest thing about attending was Jon Benjamin (Bob of Bob’s Burgers) quit the show … right there during the panel … !!!
