I’ll have a full post on the results in this week’s Webisode Clack, but this is your official heads-up that the Streamy Awards are happening tonight. If that sentence leaves you scratching your head and asking, “Streamy A-what?”, here’s the official description from the Streamys website:
The Streamy Awards is the first and most prestigious awards ceremony devoted to honoring excellence in original web television programming and those who create it. The annual ceremony, and its live online broadcast, brings together top talent, decision-makers and influencers shaping the online entertainment industry. Awards are presented for the past years’ finest achievements in a variety of categories spanning multiple disciplines, including Performance, Directing, Writing, Editing, Visual Effects, Sound, and more.
If you want to do your homework before the big show, check out the full list of nominees. The show kicks off with the Red Carpet Pre-Show at 4PM (Pacific), followed by the Awards Ceremony at 5:30. You can watch the whole thing live on streamys.org, or inside of the new Streamys iPhone app. I’ll have a rundown of the important stuff on Wednesday.
