We’ve got a lot of debate going on regarding who the mysterious Mr. Yin may be, so I wanted to give a poll a try, to see where people are leaning. Let me briefly highlight the poll choices:
Shawn’s mother — Although the voice on the phone was clearly male, and the image above certainly appears male, quite a few people still stick to this theory. Was she really holed up in a hotel somewhere? Why does the Yin/Yang thing happen when she is around?
Shawn’s Uncle Jack — we saw the bad-influencing Uncle Jack only once, played by Steven Webber in season three. Is he a worse influence than we thought?
Gus’s father — OK this one is just mine, from my first post on the episode. Adding it here to make me feel worse when nobody votes for it.
Shawn’s evil twin — Read up on my original post for how this possibly fits in as who Mr. Yin is.
Simon ‘The Mentalist‘ Baker — I’m adding this one because I love this idea so much that I hope the people involved with both shows can pull it off.
The coroner — Played a few times by Kurt Fuller, who’s a a recognizable face and can pull off evilness without a problem. But what’s his motive?
It would be nothing short of genius to have Simon Baker in the part and I can’t see it doing anything but strengthen both shows in terms of audience appreciation. I know I would quite literally laugh out loud if this wish were to be granted. Both shows have more than a little fun with their characters, The Mentalist to a lesser degree of course, and this would just be the icing on both their cakes!
I’d love to see more almost cameo crossovers in television, just for fun.
Favorite pick is EASILY Simon Baker :)
What about Pierre Despereaux from the Season 4 first episode?
all of those are wrong and it may be someone we’ve met but i guarantee you that it is probably some one we have not met. I am 80% percent sure and shawns gone on less so thats what im going on.
p.s whoever voted for the evil twin idea is very gulibe and also very wrong
