First we had the giveaway for Robot Chicken season four on DVD (winners notified very soon!), and now I’ve had the chance to review it. As I’ve done with past animated releases, I’ll do two things: tell you what’s extra on the DVD and give you my favorite clips from the entire season.
First, the extras. There are TONS of extras. Along with the 21 episodes there’s a lot of commentary (“Chicken Nuggets”) from Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, along with any number of the voice actors of the episodes covered, where a great deal of that is them having just an assload of fun being together and talking about the episodes.
If you were at the 2008 SDCC or NYCC, you might like reliving their appearances there. Like with the Star Wars release, there are “Day in the Life” segments showing how the clay is brought to life. There are also a handful of deleted scenes thrown in at the end, if you’re into that sort of thing.
