The CliqueClack TV guide to Halloween’s tricks and treats

Happy Halloween from all of us at CliqueClack TV

There’s good news in Television Land this Halloween … the holiday falls on a Saturday this year. What does this mean for you, the bloated, bleary-eyed viewer? Well, none of that weekday crap that clogs up the airways during normal times. Instead, the networks are free to air pretty much what they damn well please. Which, being the big holiday before Christmas (no one really cares about Thanksgiving anymore, do they?), means more blood, gore, and ghost huntings for you.

Problem is, you’re not too sure where to find all of this All Hallow’s Eve fare. That’s where CliqueClack TV comes in, with our annual listing of Halloween-themed programming. From midnight on October 31st, to the wee hours of November 1st (when the first Christmas trees are put up at the Wal-Mart Supercenter), we provide a listing of anything with even a hint of scare in it — yes, that includes repeats of According to Jim. So if you’re squeamish, I’d recommend you avoid this listing and look at those adorable photos of kittens that adorn your walls.

Saturday, October 31st

Circus of Horrors (TCM) – A squeamish horror tale from 1960.

1:00 am

The Replacements (Disney) – Fleemco delivers replacement neighbors who are really into the Halloween spirit.

In The Blood (LOGO) – A college senior is plagued by horrible visions of attacks on his freshman sister.

The Amityville Horror (Oxygen) – The 2005 remake, not the more impressive 1979 original.

1:15 am

The Pumpkin Karver (Showtime) – A pumpkin-headed killer is on the loose at a Halloween party on a deserted farm. These people. Just. Don’t. Get. It!

1:30 am

Kim Possible (Disney) – Kim’s trail of little white lies leads to a Pinocchio-like situation. Wow, how ironic!

The Hills Have Eyes (Spike) – 2006 remake of the 1977 original about mutant psychos on a killing spree in a New Mexico town.

1:50 am

Killer Movie (TMC) – Not a sequel to Midnight Movie. Rather, yet another send-up of slasher movies.

2:10 am

Dead & Breakfast (Encore) – A group of road-tripping friends gets sidetracked when they have to fight flesh-eating zombies at a spooky inn.

Cello (Sundance) – A cellist is haunted by supernatural forces.

But Rich, I haven’t seen Alien Sex Files 1 and 2! Will I be lost if I tune in for Alien Sex Files 3?
