Are South Park episodes without kids better than with?

South Park Earth banned from the Universe

I’m surprised that, with all the hoopla that went into aliens coming to Earth, we didn’t see any South Park kids other than Stan. It’s not often that we barely see the kids on South Park, but when it does happen it kinda sucks, because the kids are one of the funniest things about this show. Except Stan — he’s almost never funny.

I just noticed something weird when looking at the program information for this episode on Verizon FiOS: Isaac Hayes is still credited. Time to get some updated programming info., guys; Chef doesn’t even appear in the new intro montage. Oh, and Hayes is sorta-kinda dead.

Getting back to the lack of kids in this episode, I’m curious as to what others consider the better episodes of this show. With kids? Only some kids? No adults? Vote away in the poll, because not voting is totally un-American and you know this is an important cause and all.

While all the characters can be funny at times, the only ones that are always funny are Randy, Cartman and Butters. Give me those 3 characters prominently featured in an episode and I am a happy South Park fan.

I’m not usually the type to use “QFT” or “This.” but yea… This.

I think you miss the point about Stan. He’s supposed to be the one rational (most of the time) one in South Park & sees it how it is. Sometimes the funny is funny because he’s so frustrated by it all (like the Margaritaville the other week)
Also, without Stan there’s be no Randy & he’s definitely one of the funniest characters (I agree with the above poster on their top 3)

You’ve nailed the Stan character. He is the eye of the funny storm and is central to making the situations even funnier than they would be otherwise.

I think the Isaac Hayes credit is kina nice.. out of respect.
Heccy, you can’t be more right. Randy, Cartman and Butters are the tops…
a new favorite of mine is jimmy.. (very much). but those 3 in that order have me on the floor.
