Everybody does it. Don’t tell me you don’t do it. I just did it, and I’m ready to do it again! I’m talking about watching television, of course. And the other day, I was looking at People online, and got roped into looking at a slide show of photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. Jennifer Garner just gave birth to their second daughter, Seraphina.
That made me start thinking about Jennifer Garner at home with a new baby, and I started wondering whether she is sitting around, breastfeeding and watching TV all day. Of course she is! It’s funny, because when I was on bed rest for a week after having pneumonia, I watched two entire seasons of Alias. I don’t star in my own TV show that she could watch. However, I am sure there must be something she would like. So, I have compiled a list of five shows Jennifer Garner can watch while she is tending to her new baby.
1. House
House is probably my favorite show, and I never get tired of it. When the USA Network has marathons, I usually find some reason to watch several re-runs in a row. If Jennifer starts all over with season one, she can watch the original fellows and watch all of the subplots, drama, and relationships unfold. Maybe she will even like it so much that she will try to make a guest appearance!
2. Lost
This is the perfect time to catch up on all of the seasons of Lost she might have missed while working on movies and putting her older daughter Violet to bed. She can also play six degrees of separation with all of the actors on the show, and say hello to Terry O’Quinn who appeared with her on Alias.
3. What Not to Wear
What Not to Wear is good trashy fun that can withstand interruptions for burping, changing diapers, and getting Violet a healthy snack. Plus, Jennifer can watch all of the poor people shopping with $5000 in New York City and be happy for her own stylist and movie star budget.
4. Jon and Kate Plus 8
Any new mother who is facing the challenges of having two children is bound to feel more self-confident while watching Jon and Kate struggle with their brood! Maybe she can even convince some friends to make a show called Brad and Angie Plus 6.
5. The first season of Battlestar Galactica
All of BSG is excellent, but she might not want to watch the show with Violet in the room, so she may not have time to watch the other seasons. Maybe when she has her next baby?
Of course, there is no reason why she can’t also watch Alias, but that might be a little confusing for Violet as well….
Nice Selections.
The caveat being that some mom’s are on heightened alert regarding medical issues when they have a newborn (I was). If she’s that type, she may want to save House (great show) for another time. Just my opinion.
How about something nice and fluffy, so the baby gets happy milk.
