(Season 2, Episode 8 – “Chapter 15: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Prada”)
“What are we, gonna snort it?” – Victory, on Nico cutting a small piece of chocolate with her credit card so the girls could share it
Yes, I’m still reviewing this show! ‘Til the bitter end! But I’m hoping NBC will come to their senses and keep the show around, rather than letting it die a slow, painful death on Friday nights.
This was another episode that had me screaming at the TV (not that I get involved in TV shows or anything), because Victory is such a dunce. I’ll tell you why after the jump ….
OK, here’s why! Because she finally decides that Joe is definitely the one, she gets him face to face — albeit on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere — and she doesn’t tell him she loves him?! What kind of kook is she? Instead, she just stands there while Joe hands over ownership of the company to her, saying he never wants any connection with it ever again.
Victory! This was your big chance! Why didn’t you go for it?! Argh.
Nico and Kirby are still doing the class warfare thing, but managed to have sex in a picturesque field near the B&B where the girls stayed for the weekend. What gets me is that Nico is there for 24 hours and decides she wants to buy the place so she and Kirby can have a getaway.
You know, you don’t have to BUY the place, Nico. You can just GO there when you need a weekend away. What is wrong with you?!
Other than that, here’s some fun little quotes from this episode:
“So you’re going to make me go alone to this and face these hostile bloggers by myself?” – Griffin, on Nico not wanting to go to the new media conference with him
“What are you looking for? A tiny little mechanic in there?” Victory to Nico, when their car dies on a deserted stretch of country road.
Your thoughts on this episode? Are you still watching, or have you gotten into a lifeboat and started rowing towards shore?
I’m still watching but I thought they officially canceled it. Its a shame really, because as silly and cliched as the show could be, I enjoyed watching these smart and powerful women (albeit with the exception of Victory, who is lovely, but doesn’t seem particularly smart or powerful.) I’m disappointed that the show is going to end because I thought they were definitely setting it up for a love triangle with Nico’s boss, which would certainly make things interesting.
