(Season 2, Episode 5)
Aha! Did I call this one or what? Well, I guess it’s a bit more of the “or what,” but Sheldon had a female attached to him through tonight’s The Big Bang Theory episode. I’ll admit I was thinking more along the lines of a real love interest and this wasn’t quite that. It’s hard to say exactly what it was. But as Penny put it, “Holy crap on a cracker.” That kind of sums it up, so this review is finished.
Nah, I’m just joking. Read on.
With as condescending as Sheldon was in his little speech to the grad students, it’s a wonder he attracted groupies. However, they were impressed with his mind and his work rather than his studly macho man physique. Yeah, hard to believe, isn’t it? Ramona Nowitzki was the first one although another followed at the end of the show. By then Sheldon had figured out how to use the attention to his advantage.
But he had to go through Ramona first to get to his realization that he should just use the girls for free dinners. And Ramona was a trip. I was thinking that she had ulterior motives, but no; she loved his mind and became worse than SuperNanny. No Halo night! No Paintball Saturday! Since the comic books, the video games, and his schedule are as much a part of Sheldon is as his physics passion … that’s just not going to cut it.
Fun parts which made me snicker:
Now, I’d still like to see a real relationship for Sheldon … not a mere “pumiced my hammertoe” kind of lurid affair with a SuperNanny. But I enjoyed the episode anyway.
Am I the only female who adores Sheldon? NO!! I have no idea why. Do we want to mother him? Is he this generation’s Mr. Spock? Whatever, I think he is so cool. Sock puppets, indeed. But no girl is good enough for him. Except maybe me.
