Doctor Will fans alert! Dr. Will Kirby, the PuppetMaster of Big Brother 2 and Botox King of Dr. 90210 on E!, will be taping possibly two (but at least one) episodes of The Doctors on December 7. On his official website, Will has made a plea for folks to join the audience. Bring signs? Bring banners? Well, that might be a bit much. Will was my favorite ever houseguest on Big Brother. But it’s not quite enough to get me to go across the country and work my expertise on signs and banners. However, I’ll always hold his internet love dear to my heart.
So, what else is clacking on Reality TV lately? Read on!
That was the week it was
It finally happened. Cloris Leachman got the boot from Dancing With the Stars. While I refuse to get all Florence Henderson up in arms about her, this was long overdue. As far as her zany antics go, all the more power to her. At 82, it’s great to see the energy and spirit she has. But, when you think of the caliber of the dancers on the show, she never had it and should have been the first to waltz off into the sunset. A bit like a more famous Sanjaya Malakar, she stayed in the game long past her talent level.
In other news, David Cook, winner of the most recent American Idol, was a guest on SNL this week. In an interview with Reality TV Calendar, he claims to still be a “goober from the Midwest.” He’s been dating ex-AI contestant Kimberly Caldwell. Hmmm, interesting. For some reason, I don’t see those two as a couple. His new self-titled debut album will hit the stores on November 18.
Attention women … and men (who knows) … Simon Cowell is on the market again! Celebrity Spider is reporting that Cowell and his longtime girlfriend British model Terri Seymour have broken off the relationship. Huh. Maybe she got paroled after six years spent with him. While I have to admit I get a kick out of Simon on American Idol, I can only think he’d increase my stress levels if he were to be in my life. He’s probably better off single. For sure she is. It seems that the main bone of contention between the two had nothing to do with his surliness or prissiness. She wants children and a happy home, he wants to roam.
The second Celebrity Apprentice is currently filming in New York City. According to BuddyTV, Dennis Rodman is doing well. But I would expect that. After all, he’s not the kind of celebrity who folks don’t recognize, right? Then again, they’re only filming the second or third episode. Being close with Donald Trump didn’t keep Gene Simmons from getting the boot when he decided to go his own way on the first season. The show is slated to air in January.
Notable recent exits
Gee, the Cloris exit on DWTS seems to overshadow everything, doesn’t it?
In the future
Get geared for a big night of reality television on Tuesday evening — the only game in town. No, I won’t be reporting on the results for Reality Clack. Somehow I think you’ll hear about them.
Until next week, it’s been real but not necessarily reality.
