Finally! It’s a huge week for new home video releases. So big, in fact, that we’re going to divide this up into two posts. Today’s post will focus on the newest releases, and the next post will be a special Halloween edition featuring some classic (and not-so classic) horror films either being repackaged or re-released — and some making their Blu-ray debuts — just in time for the holiday.
This week, the mighty Thor kicks off the release schedule but the most eagerly anticipated — or dreaded, depending on which camp you’re in — Blu-ray release is coming Friday: the complete Star Wars saga for the first time in glorious high definition. Yes, George Lucas has tweaked the films even more to give them all a more cohesive look (now the Ewoks blink!) and you won’t be seeing the original films in their original forms, so will this be a collection everyone wants to purchase … or have all but the die-hard fans finally had enough with the tinkering? Time, and sales figures, will tell.
As always, have a look at our handy-dandy guide below and please click on the links to make your purchase at Amazon.com to show your support for CliqueClack. We thank you!
